Christmas and other stuff

So Tyler and I went to the cities for Christmas. It was very busy a lot of driving around, and made us very tired. We will have to do something different for next year when we have a baby. We got a lot of good stuff and it was nice to check up with everyone.

I am in my last week of my 7th month which seems crazy. I am 31 weeks tomorrow meaning there is only 9 weeks left. I went to the doctor today and I am measuring at 31 weeks which is good. The last time I was in I was measuring small so the baby grew a lot in the last month.

We continue to work on finishing our bathroom. We had a plumber come out and set up piping for a sink so now we can do a lot of the other stuff that will make it a bathroom. Which is good because I would like to start doing the nursery which I cant do till the bathroom is done.

30 Weeks

So today I am at 30 weeks. Meaning only 10 weeks to go until baby is here. It has gone by so fast already. I am feeling good. It is getting harder to sleep with my big belly but I manage to get so sleep. She likes to kick me pretty early in the morning to let me know she is ready to get up. Here are a few pictures too.

So much Snow

So this weekend we got hit pretty hard with snow as did many places in Minnesota. It started Friday night and snowed all day Saturday and finally stopped by Sunday. Tyler and Patrick had been in Orlando for work and their flight from Chicago home was canceled so they took the train. The train station is right here in Winona so I just had to go pick them up. Only issue with that was the plows had not gone through at all. They were waiting for it to stop snowing. Luckily I had gone out and snowblowed twice Saturday or I might not have been able to get out of my driveway. We survived though, but there is so much snow everywhere.

27 Weeks

Snow Snow Snow

So starting last night it started snowing, and this is what we woke up to in Winona. It was the first real snow fall. Which is pretty exciting except the fact of shoveling and snow blowing which Tyler will have to do. My doctor does not want me to do and shoveling to much work for the pregnant lady. It is kinda nice to have some stuff. Atleast it will be around for Christmas.

3rd trimester

So I have officially entered my 3rd trimester. Which seems crazy only few months to go. I went to the doctor the other day and did my glucose test to check if I have gestational diabetes. So far I have not heard anything. I am assuming that is a good thing. I am still feeling good. Although my back and hips tend to hurt which is normal. The baby likes to kick me in the middle of the night and early in the morning which then wakes me up. So it gets a little tougher to sleep at night.

Thanksgiving Weekend

What a long wonderful weekend we had. We came up from Winona Thursday morning and went to my grandmas house for a little while. I was glad to see my mom she had surgery on Wed and was able to get out early. She looked like she was feeling much better. We then headed to Tyler's grandma house for the Thanksgiving dinner part. It was a very good dinner. We then stayed at Nor and Kevin's. Friday Jake and Kyle came over to Nor and Kevins and we all hung out played games it was fun night. Saturday Ross, Heidi and Cameron came over and Nor Heidi and I went to the Roseville mall and did some shopping. We stopped at Carters ( a baby store) and everything was half off so I got some good deals on some clothes. We then headed home earlier Sunday to get ready for the week. It was a fun weekend.

99 days

So according to the baby website I go to I am at 99 days until my due date. Just thought I would share this with everyone.

Breast feeding class

So last night I attended a breast feeding class to better hep me understand how it works. We watched a video that went over everything from how long to breast feed, the correct way to do it, how you know they are getting enough milk. It was very good information and I am glad I went. Tyler was not able to come with he has been in Texas all week for work. We have a child birth class in the beginning of the December which he will be coming with.

Growing Growing Growing

I will be 24 weeks this Wednesday which just seems crazy that I'm over halfway there. We have not started the nursery or anything yet because we are still finishing/ working on our bathroom.
Hopefully we can get that done soon so we can start on that. We bought some new dressers for ourselves, and then we are going to give baby my old dresser which will match the crib.

Iowa Wedding

This weekend we went to Iowa for our friends Jake and Kyle's wedding. We drove down Friday and stayed till Sunday. It was a very nice wedding. The ceremony was outside, which actually was not to bad it was lower 60's or so. It seemed as everything went perfect for them on their day, and Tyler and I were glad we could be there. Halloween

Classes

So I signed us up for classes. One is a breast feeding class were I can learn all about that. The other is a child birth class just one class that goes all day from 8am-4pm. So that will be good to go to.

Tyler and I also carved pumpkins over the weekend to get ready for Halloween. We carved 4 pumpkins. I thought by carving them the squirrels would leave them alone and stop eating them. Well it seems they are still eating the pumpkins. We also went and picked up some candy for handing out of Halloween to the kids. Although we have had to taste test it to make sure it is safe to hand out :-)

Kicking Daddy!

So last night Tyler got to feel his daughter move for the first time. We were laying in bed and he had his hand on my stomach. She doesn't move all the time so I figured this would be the way you could feel. Sure enough she decided to give daddy a little kick. It was very cool.

I also feel like my stomach grew overnight. It was like Tuesday there was nothing and the next day I had a pregnant belly.

Time for some baby stuff

So today my mom and I met in Rochester and did some baby registering at babies r us. I had also started a register at target. It was a lot of fun and was able to see everything that is out there and show my mom what is out there. We then went and had some lunch and then after lunch we headed to Sam's Club. I wanted to get a membership mostly so we can save loads on diapers. I bought a thing of diapers just to get me started. I know they won't last long once baby girl arrives. We went and looked at blind because we want to put new blinds in the baby's room so it will be a little darker and not be letting so much light into the room. For our last stop we went to the motherhood store so I could get some clothes that fit. Mostly a pair of jeans because I have been using a bella band that I can wear over my jeans. Not many are fitting me and I don't think I will fit into them much longer. It was a very good day. Lots of fun!

20 weeks

I entered my 20th week today. Which puts me halfway through my pregnancy. I also got an email saying that the baby is a size of a cantelope this week which seems pretty big.

It's a GIRL!!

Today Tyler and I went for our first ultrasound. Which was very exciting. Everything looked good with the baby growing just perfect :-) Although baby was being quite difficult with her legs crossed. The ultrasound tech finally got a look and discovered we are having a girl. We called and told out family as they were all very excited. Here are a few pics from the ultrasound.

Finishing the Bathroom

This weekend we started on getting our master bathroom finished. When we moved into the house the previous owner has built a bathroom in the master bedroom but did not put a wall on it to close it off. So this is what we are doing. We currently have our bed in what will be the nursery so we figured it was a good time to start. On Saturday we went over to Fleet Farm got some wood so we could start on that. Then today(Sunday) we went over to Menards and picked out a door for the bathroom and bought that and looked at some cabinets to put into the bathroom. Tyler worked on it pretty good Saturday and working some today as well. I am not much help for I can't saw wood or do anything with heavy lifting but I help if he asks. Baby Moving

So I have started to feel the early stages of the baby moving. Just the baby rolling around it just feels like a goldfish or bubbles in there. Its pretty cool though.

Ultrasound

I went for my 16 weeks appointment on Friday with Dr. Coyne. She said everything sounded good. She gave me something I can take for ingestion because I get it pretty bad and she said if I have it now its just going to get worse. We also scheduled our appointment for our ultrasound for October 5! Which is very exciting so we can finally fine out the sex of the baby :-)

Home for the Weekend

So this past weekend I went home. My cousin had got married in Aruba at the beginning of September and they were having their reception on Saturday. Tyler stayed in Winona because he was not feeling well and did not want to get anyone sick. I stayed at Ross and Heidi's. It was nice to hang out with them I had not been to their house in a long time. Heidi and I went and did some baby shopping during the day Saturday and I was able to find some very cute stuffed animals for the baby. We headed back to the house after being gone fro 1 1/2 or so because Cameron would be waking up from his nap soon. Cameron is a moving machine crawling all over the place its pretty amazing how much he is cruising around. Saturday night I headed off to the reception which was a very nice time. Nicole and Adam looked great! I didnt stick around to long because they baby tends to make me kinda tired. It was fun while I was there though. Sunday hung out with Ross, Heidi, and Cameron for a while watched the viking game, and then about 3pm I headed back to Winona. It was nice to me back after the long weekend I missed my Tyler :-)
We will be going to the cities again for Marcia and Marshall's anniversary party.

Ross, Heidi and Cameron

Ross, Heidi and Cameron came down for the night from Saturday to Sunday. It was nice to have them all down. We did not do a whole lot we mostly hung out. We went and bought a few board games and played those Saturday night which was a lot of fun. How often do you just play a board game? Talked about the new baby that will arrive, and watched Cameron cruise around he is quite the crawler now. It nice to have them down for the weekend and hopefully they will do it again before the baby arrives.

Belly

I am starting to look and feel much more pregnant now. Many of the girls have commented to me on how cute my belly is. I just hope to feel the baby move soon. They say they can happen anytime after 16weeks which is what I will be next week. I will post some more pics soon.

Can't button the button

So its official I can no longer button my pants. I have been wearing this thing were I can still wear my jeans but leave them unbuttoned and it keeps my pants on. It basically an elastic band.

The Olson's and The Chamber's visit

This weekend Nor and Kevin came down to visit as did Tom, Kay, Rachael and her friend Josie. It was a fun weekend. Saturday the Chamber's came over and got to see our house for the first time which was nice. We then headed to Garvin Heights lookout that looks over all of Winona. We then headed to Acoustic Cafe for some lunch they serve hot hoagies and such that are very good! Then we headed to whitewater park which was about a 30min drive from Winona, and it was nice very pretty. Then the rest of the group went atving because Nor and Kevin had brought there atvs down. Tyler and I headed to Slumberland and looked and some sofas we are looking for a new one so we went to the prices for what we want. We then headed to Sammy's for dinner with the rest of the group. I ended up leaving early I was having a really bad stomach ache but I was told it may have been heartburn which common when you are pregnant. I layed down and felt better within 30min. On Sunday we met up with the group and headed to a park near Winona that the chamber's wanted to check out. We then went looked at a few of the historic buildings in Winona. After that we headed to Chula Vista for lunch which is a mexican restaurant in town it was very good! After that we headed back tot he house and the Chamber's took off to do some other stuff. Nor, Kevin, Tyler and I went and got some ice cream and they stuck around for a little while, but then they decided they were going to head back as well. It was a very fun weekend and we are always happy to have friends and family come for the weekend. It will be nice when Ross, Heidi, and Cameron come next weekend!

Eat More

So yesterday at work I was doing a foil and I got really hot and dizzy and almost passed out. The other stylist made me sit down and eat some skittles and muffins. She reminded me I have to remember to eat more during the day, because the maybe is taking everything. I was fine after like 15 min but it was pretty crazy. My mom said that when she was pregnant with me that happened to her one time. So I guess I have to remember to eat way more during the day so I that doesn't happen again.

2nd Trimester

So today I started my 2nd trimester. This seems really crazy to me that I am already here. I am still feeling really good. I seem to be peeing less in the middle of the night which makes me happy. Although my jean pants are getting quite tight, and I'm thinking I will only be able to button them another week or so.

State Fair

Baby, Grandma Jackson and I all went to the State Fair today(Sunday). It was a ton of fun we ate a lot of good food. I was able to get my favorite Crepes. Go get on them if you go to the state fair. We also looked at the largest pig weighing 1450 lbs. He was huge!! We went into the miracle birth center and were able to see some of the baby animals that were recently born. We also ended up doing a gondola ride which I had never done before. It was a ton of fun and glad we were able to make it.

A little poem

This is the poem that we included in Kevin's birthday card telling them that we are having a baby.

I do not have a face to see,

Or put inside a frame.

I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,

I don't yet have a name.

Baby Olson

Tyler and I learned over the 4th of July that we would be parents in March. This was very exciting and all I wanted to do was tell the whole world but we waited until we had our 12 week appointment to make sure everything was ok with the baby.
On August 20th we went in for our 12 week appointment and were able to hear the baby's heartbeat which made us feel tons better, and now we were able to tell the family.
Tyler and I headed to my parents house to let them in on the good news. We had gotten them gifts that were bibs that said I love Grandma, and I love Grandpa. My mom cried when we gave those to them and they were very happy and excited to become first time grandparents. We then went to my grandmas house for dinner and were able to tell my aunts and uncles and cousins which were all very excited that there would soon be a baby in the family.
We headed to Tyler's parents house to tell his parents. We gave Kevin an early birthday card which had a poem that basically told them we were having a baby. They also cried and were very happy. Ross, Heidi, and Cameron came over Sunday and Tyler had a talk with Cameron letting him know that he was going to have a cousin. They were all very excited. Cameron will have a playmate :-)

For the most part I have been feeling very good. I have had no morning sickness, been very tired and I feel like I eat way more often. Other then that I feel great. We are just excited for the new baby to arrive here March 2, 2011!
