9 month Stats

Went to the doctor for Jordan's 9 month appt she is 17.5lbs(20%) 30 inches long( 98%).
Doctor said she looked good. We did not have to do any shots she was all caught up on those which was good made for an easy appointment. They had be schedule her 12 month appointment!(eek) Its crazy to think she will be a year in just a few months.

Birth to 9 months

9 Months

Jordan turned 9 months on 12/8. I can't believe it has been 9 months already. She is so big and so aware of everything around her. Jordan now sits on her own very well. Our daycare lady said she is much better now at playing on the floor with the other kids were for a while she was kinda scared. She likes to bang her toys, and she loves cell phones. She doesn't crawl yet but she army crawls like a pro. She also has 2 teeth on the bottom. She has her 9 month appt later this month and I will update with weight and height when I know.

8 Months

Jordan turned 8 months and with that got her 1st tooth. It is one of the bottom front. I am guessing the other one is not far behind. You can see it down in her gums. For Halloween we dressed Jordan up in a pumpkin costume and a skeleton sleeper. She looked very cute. We just hung around the house and handed out candy. I switched salon jobs again and hopefully for the last time. Renting a chair just did not work out. I got a job at a salon in town called Spalon 1161. It a well known salon and I seem to like it so far. It came at perfect time. My boss is due with her baby in 2 weeks and will be taking 12 weeks off so they were in need of an extra person. With the new job I am working full time again which means Jordan is at daycare full time :-( I don't get to spend as much time with her, but she gets to spend some extra time with daddy. When I am home I really spend time with since I don't get to see so much during the day anymore.

Football Game

It was a busy weekend. Nor and Kevin came down and we went to the Winona State football game to see Tyler's cousin Lewis play. Tyler aunts and uncles came down to see the game as well. They ended up winning. Jordan did very good at the game she even fell asleep. Everyone then came to our place for pizza. Most people we have ever had over at one time. Nor and Kevin bought an activity center set for Jordan and she seems to really like it, they also brought some clothes from when Tyler was little that she will fit into. It was fun weekend Nor and Kevin hung out long enough to watch the Vikings lose ( No Surprise here).
Jordan is coming up on 8 months I can't believe it. She is close to crawling she gets up on her hand and knees and rocks.

Lazy Weekend

Tyler, Jordan and I took it easy this weekend and just hung out and watched movie. Nothing to exciting. Jordan is close to crawling she gets up on her knees and hands but doesn't know how to move forward without her belly on the ground. She sits up on her own pretty good too.

6 Months Old

Jordan turned 6 months old. I can't believe how fast it has flew by. She is getting so big. We went for her 6 month check up she is 15.6 lbs and 27inches long. She is 50% for her weight and 90% for her height. I continue with her on solids. Jordan does not like my homemade baby food. So I am buying baby food because she seems to eat that. Next weekend Tyler, Jordan and I are meeting my Grandma, my Aunt Patty, my Cousin Chelsea, and my mom in Rochester for Lunch. It's been awhile since they have seen Jordan. I made the hat that Jordan is wearing as well.

Labor Day weekend and other stuff

We decided to start Jordan on baby food since it seemed she was interested and always grabbing for our food. So far we have tried bananas and sweet potato. She wasn't to sure about it at first but I feel like she is starting to like it more now. I only feed her solids once a day and still nurse her. I have the daycare give her formula since I don't really have a milk stash from when my pump broke. It works just fine drinks its down all the same.
My brother came down to Winona the other day for a haircut. He had hair past his shoulders and he decided that morning to cut it off. He came down to basically fix what he has done. It looks much better on him then his super long hair.
On Friday we went to my friend Lisa's daughter Jada's 1st birthday ( Jordan bff). It was a lot of fun and so adorable. She totally dug into the cake. It was so cute. I can't believe Jada is a year old. It was last year few days before Lisa had her when I was telling her I was pregnant.
I recently went to this store in town and learned how to knit. I wanna make some cute things for Jordan. My friend Lisa knits too so we are going to get together and knit together :-)
Today our friend Patrick is having people over and going to grill so we are going to go over there later tonight and have some burgers and hang out.
Overall pretty relaxing easy weekend.

State Fair

On Friday my mom, Jordan , and I went to the state fair. We met up with Nor, Kevin, Ross, Heidi, Cameron. It was a lot of fun ate lots of food, looked at different animals. Just wondered around. Jordan did so good at the fair she hung out in her stroller and watched people and slept. We then went to Nor and Kevin's. Tyler drove up from Winona Friday evening and we hung out with them. Saturday we met Ross, Heidi and Cameron over at Leann Chins they were having a $5 all you can eat special. We then went back to Nor and Kevs and hung out. Jordan is getting close to crawling she army crawls all over the place its amazing. I am going to start solids. She will be 6 months here in a week or so and she seems to be interested in food.

5 Months Old

Wow..5 months old. I can not believe that it has been 5 months since she came into our lives. Jordan is getting so big and so active. She rolls on the floor all over and she grabs and plays with toys. She smiles and laughs. Our next thing is I'm trying to teach her how to sit up on her own. Jordan sleeps through the night which is great. She likes daycare it seems which is good. There are some older kids there that are 2-3 years old that she likes to watch run around and play.
I started making our own baby food. I am going to start her on food in a month or so unless she seems like she wants it sooner. I have made sweet potato, avocado, and banana so far then just freeze in ice cube trays works pretty well.

Daycare

Jordan started daycare this week. She is there 3 days a week so I can work some daytime hours at work. The lady that watches her is great and she hardly has any kids that she watches which is nice. Jordan seems to adjusting to it well.
This weekend Tyler, Jordan and I are going to the Fastenal picnic. It's a picnic they put on every year in the summer they have food, and games, bunch of fun things that will be a lot of fun when Jordan is walking around. My friend Lisa is then going to babysit Jordan on Sunday so Tyler and I can go see Harry Potter part 2.

So Big

Jordan is getting so big. She is 4 months now and her her 4 month check up. She now weight 14.1lbs and is 25.25inches. Doctor said she looks good. Tuesday Jordan will be starting daycare part time (3 days a week). I am a little sad about this, but at the same time it will be good to be able to work during the day. She will be going to a small daycare she has 2 kids now and she will get 2 more in August. So Jordan will be well taken care of. It also is not far from our house, but everything is in Winona.

The Roller

Jordan has been rolling front back to tummy for about a month now. She has finally figured out how to roll from her tummy to her back. She did it all day yesterday. Jordan is getting so big. She turned 4 months on July 8. I can't believe it was 4 months ago she arrived, and how much stuff she has learned in those short 4 months.

Fourth of July

Tyler and I had a busy weekend over the 4th. We drove up Friday night and went to my grandmas house for a bbq because my cousins were in town from California. It was nice to see them. They actually ended up coming over to Nor and Kevin's and went swimming for the day which was nice. Jordan was able to go swimming for the first time, and she seemed to really enjoy it. The Chambers, Ross, Heidi and Cam came over on Sunday and we all went swimming and hung out. There was also some badminton games. We then set off fire works that evening. They were pretty awesome. Tyler and Jordan and I headed up Monday during the day we had a very fun weekend though.
Tomorrow is my birthday so Jordan and I are meeting my mom, grandma and my aunt who is in town from Florida in Rochester for lunch. It will be good to see them since it has been awhile. It will be my aunts first time meeting Jordan.

Father's day/ Tyler's Bday

On Sunday was Father's day and Tyler's bday. He spent the day with his girls. He opened up some cards that he had gotten from people, and the gifts from Jordan and I. We got him a picture of Jordan that he can keep at work, and for his bday I got him a dvd of the tv show It's always sunny in Philadelphia. For dinner we went to this new Mexican restaurant in Winona called Mangos. It was really good. Tyler and I got the fajitas for two and they were delicious. Tyler and I have been attempting to get Jordan to sleep without being swaddled anymore. It has been a work in progress. Sh usually will last about 3-4 hours. I have been getting up with her in the middle of the night a lot more again. Hopefully she will figure out that she can just sleep she doesn't have to wake up all the time ;)
I switched hair salons. I left Electric Beach and went to this new place Absolute Salon and Spa were I will be renting a chair. So I am no longer an employee. I run my own business basically without actually having to. So I pay a fee to be there but get everything I make then just have to buy all my products and color and such. I expect it to be kinda slow in the beginning but I am excited. I have my first day today.

Grad Party

Tyler, Jordan, and I went up to the cities fro Tyler's cousin Britta's graduation party. It was fun we got to see a lot of people we don't see. Jordan got to meet some new people too. The first 1.5hr we were there she would not let anyone hold her except Tyler or I. I think she got a little overwhelmed with all the people. She is not used to being around that many people. She finally warmed up to people though. Tyler's cousin Stacy took some cute pictures of her too.

Teething

Jordan has been teething the last few days. You can see a tooth on the bottom starting to come in. Sh has been drooling, and chewing on her hands like crazy. The other night she screamed for Tyler, and this was before we discovered what was going on. She is a little crankier, but now that we know whats going on we can try and soothe the problem. I just feel so bad for her.

Rolling over

On Thursday Jordan and I went to a benefit that Jenny I work with was having for her daughter. She has twin girls and one of them has Cerebral Palsy. She was accepted into a program that will be good for her but its very expensive and insurance doesn't cover it. They had a great turn out of people. Everyone was very impressed with all the hair Jordan has :)
Jordan rolled over for the first time on Friday. She had been really close over the past week, and she finally did it. She can only roll from back to front, and then when she gets on her front she doesn't know what to do.

Memorial Weekend

This weekend we had some people down for memorial weekend. Tyler had some car stuff that he wanted to do so we had Logan, Laura, Kevin and Nor, Ross, Heidi, and Cameron. It was a lot of fun. We grilled burgers and brats and just hung out in the nice weather. Cameron was interested in seeing Jordan again. They got the car done and everyone headed back Sunday. It was nice having some visitors.
Jordan is getting so big she will be 3 months on June 8th. It is crazy to think that much has passed already. She makes a lot more noises, is awake a lot more. Just the other night she slept the whole night through. I thought it might be a fluke but she did 2 nights in a row.
My mom is going to come down this week to babysit for 2 days while Tyler goes on a business trip. She said she is really excited( which is no surprise). The fact that Jordan is communicating much more.

Back to Work

I returned to work last week. It seems to be going good so far. I miss being with Jordan all the time. Tyler and I work opposite shifts so we don't have to put her in daycare. He works from 7-4 and I work 4-8. I am still able to spend all day long with her. My mom came down to watch Jordan for 2 days because when I went back to work Tyler was on a business trip. My mom loved being able to spend time with Jordan.
I had a dentist appointment this week so my friend Lisa watched Jordan for an hour while I got my teeth cleaned. Lisa has a 8month old daughter Jada. So they got to play together.
