Visitors

My mom and Dad came down on Friday to visit and see Jordan since they had not seen her since she was in the hospital. My mom held her pretty much the whole time and Jordan was asleep almost the whole time. It was nice having them here since I am at home alone with Jordan most days. Saturday night Jordan slept 2 5hour blocks which was great. Although we are still working on getting her into the crib. She likes to be held when she sleeps. So getting her into the crib is a work in progress.

2 weeks Old

Tomorrow Jordan will be 2 weeks old. I can't believe how fast these 2 weeks have gone by. She is such a good baby. She sleeps pretty good at night. She will sleep for 4 hours blocks. She is starting to sleep in her crib. Sometimes she will sometimes she won't. Hopefully she will be sleeping in the full time in no time. We went back to the doctor on Friday to make sure her weight was going up. The doctor said they make sure she has gained 200g since leaving the hospital and she has put on 300g. Her weight as of Friday was 8lbs 4oz...her birth weight was 7lbs 15oz. So she is getting plenty to eat which is good.

1 Week Old

Jordan is already 1 week old. It is still hard to believe she is here. The 1st week has been good she sleeps a lot during the day. Most nights she sleeps pretty good. She has her nights were she will sleep for 4 hours straight and other nights were she is feeding every hour. I love being a mommy it is the greatest ting ever. Tyler enjoys being a daddy as well. I call him a baby hog because he always wants to hold her. Which I don't blame him she is so adorable. We have had many visitors over the past few days. So things have quieted down around here.

Jordan Elizabeth

Jordan Elizabeth finally arrived 6 days late on March 8, 2011 at 10:57 am.
7lbs 15ox and 21.5inches long

I woke up Tuesday morning at about 1am with contractions about every 10min. I got out of bed at about 3 as they were getting closer together. They were about 5min apart so I called labor and delivery and they told me to take a bath and labor at home as much as I could. I called them back at about 5:30am and told them we were on our way in as they were getting very strong. We get to the hospital and they put me an exam room to see how often the contractions are happening which was about every 4-5 min. They checked me and said I was 5cm and 100% effaced. I informed them I wanted an epidural. I had to get a bag of fluids in me before I could get the epidural. When I had that they called the anesthesiologist to give me the epidural. They called him 3 times as he was stuck in a c section that had some complications. I started feeling a lot of pressure and they checked me and I was 8cm. They called my doctor and she arrived. She checked me and I was 9.5 I decided to just go without the epidural at this point because it probably would not take and I had already gone this far with out it. My doctor broke my water which brought me to 10. She had me start pushing and in 12 minutes Jordan Elizabeth arrived. Daddy was very happy and cried, as did mommy. My doctor was very impressed how fast I pushed her out she called me a rock star. We are all doing well and are back at home, and are so happy our baby girl is finally here.

Nope

Still no baby. 3 days past due date. I'm hoping she will at least come before my appointment on Tuesday.

My due date is tomorrow. So far no sign of baby. We are very excited for her to arrive though. I had a doctors appointment today. The doctor said things looked good and hopefully she will be here soon. She did order an ultrasound because I was measuring small. Everything is fine though baby looked good. She wanted to make sure. The ultrasound tech said she thinks I am measuring small do to the baby so low in my pelvis. I am still working only 2 days a week and about 10 hours. I plan to until baby girl arrives.
